Nothing too major... Added a new title graphic to the home page. I thought it was time for a more flashy graphic... something that really sums up the feel we are aiming for. So what do ya think?

First update of 1999! Sorry it's been so long, but I just felt as if not a lot to tell meant I shouldn't waste time with an update.

The word of the day is DIGITAL, baby! We recently made a deal to shoot with DVC-PRO! Check out the TECHNICAL INFO section.

Some of the weapons are looking pretty cool and most of the sets are designed. Right now we are looking for places to get wood and building materials for free. If you know of anyone with lumber to spare, please email us!

I added a link to www.thevideoguys.com from the main page (since that web site is finally up and running) and I changed the e-mail addresses so mail you send will actually reach us for sure now! (It's a long story) More to come soon, I promise!

The site has been awarded the "Lavender Hill Cool Site Award" and is now on the recommended sites list on Fortune City! What can we say, except that we are honoured! In celebration, we've added some new pix to the site in the Images section.

Also, some exciting news! The video company responsible for the Cool Guys In Space project has upgraded the main computer from 32 Meg to 96 Meg, added an 11.5 Gig hard drive, and added a MiroVideo DC30+ to the whole operation. For those of you that don't know it, this piece of hardware (with the appropriate software, of course) allows for near-broadcast quality video capture and PC based non-linear editing inside the machine! With our current settings, using a compression of about 5 to 1, we can store approximately 90 minutes of video for editing and playback. And, it keeps getting better because new upgrades are on the way!

All sorts of new stuff today! To start with, the company responsible for the creation of Cool Guys In Space is now "The Video Guys." The people involved are still the same, but the ownership of the product is now in the right hands. (For the record, DreamLand Pictures and Trinity Productions are side projects of a larger whole, The Video Guys.)

Added a whole new section to these pages: ("WHAT'S NEW?", this page). The purpose of this page is to provide up to the minute information about the making of the film. I created it as a place to put news regarding the film as it really had no specific area before. As you can guess, this section will be very text-rich. Hope that doesn't bother you! Mainly, it was added so that we don't have to change the date on every page when we do an update. We can just change the date here!

Finally, we have managed to lock down the designs for 2 of the ships: The Klik-Toh Fighter and the StarNet Fighter. There are pictures of them in the Pictures area for your enjoyment. Don't steal our designs! We will know if you do! :)

Also, did some maitenance, removed a large picture from the images section because it was dumb and only added as filler until something better was put in its place, which there now is.

Added a picture to the Images section (2 Klik-Toh Fighter ships)

Added a very short AVI into the animations section featuring the 2 ships flying through space. Right now, since it is the only one on the page, it autoloads in your browser (Netscape only) so that you can just click it to play it. (At 28.8 speed it takes about 3 1/2 minutes to download.) This will be changed when more AVIs are added so that you can pick which animations to play, if any.

Added this whole site. Everything is new.

This 'CGIS' project is being created for fun and not for profit. However. we intend to produce a very high quality production with no budget.
